About Us

Jyothis Charitable Society is the Registered organization (Reg. No K 368/08) for the social welfare activities of the Sacred Heart Congregation at general level. The eventual goal of this organization is to lead social welfare activities of the congregation with creativity and forethought through a right way. It was established in the year 2008 in order;
•    To give guidelines about social welfare activities,
•    To have coordination and uniformity in the social welfare activities of all our provinces.
•    To make use of the available resource for the effectiveness of this apostolic field
•    To make realize on how to give the compassionate love of Jesus to the most deserving.

Jyothis society functions in the generalate in order to render novel and steady movements to the social welfare activities. During a short span of time, a series of project namely, Mochana project, Jyothi project and Darshan have been implemented. Besides, to actualize these project in a technical manner necessary training programmes are arranged for sisters. This is also a yardstick which shows much more interventions through jyothis in future course of time.
Upholding the jubilee declaration of the Sacred Heart Congregation "to initiate more creative intervention in the field of social work", at the moment Jyothis tries its very best to enter into new areas of activity with more keenness. At the cause of Jyothis, the entire social welfare organisations and projects of our provinces would gain at the maximum of its progress.
